A Letter To You, the Birth Mom
Dear Birth Mom,
You have been directed to this page by family or a friend...or perhaps you happened upon it in some inexplicable way. No matter what the case may be, it is not an accident you are here looking at this profile page. Well, it's not an accident we created this page either.
Our life has had many great days and many deep valleys, as life does for all. In the near 12 years we have been married we have moved, changed careers, continued our education, worked multiple jobs to feed ourselves and pay the bills. We have become too familiar with hospitals as our parents suffered tragic accidents. We watched one parent die. Our fourth year of marriage Kendall was diagnosed with cancer that almost took his life. In all these things and more we have been more than conquorers because God loves us and walked with us in every season. Our faith has been tested, but we are stronger because of all these things. Even so now our faith is strenthened as we are pressed in on every side. We long to have a family, though we are not able to have children biologically.
We have always known we would have kids. Even when it looked as though Kendall would die, God gave us hope for a future and that future includes kids.
Perhaps somehow we always knew we would adopt....like it has been part of our God-given destiny all along. We are truly humbled that God would choose to build our family through the gift of adoption. Our story is different but we are glad because it makes us unique and it tells us God has unique plans for us in this world. It tells us He thinks we are special and valuable to Him.
We don't know you or your story or your heartaches or the road you have traveled, but we know your story too is different and unique and special or you wouldn't be reading this right now. You are special, and God has created you for great things.
If your heart has been moved by our story, if you look at our faces and read about our personalities and see yourself in our family, consider this may be where you belong, where your child belongs. We want you to be part of our family. At the bottom of the blog is contact information for the adoption agency we are working with. They can provide you with free resources and free pregnancy advice whether you choose to meet us or not.
You know, maybe you have never really had a family. Maybe you have always been on your own. Well, we just want to say to you, "welcome home."
Because of Jesus,
+Kendall & Andi :-)
